Basic Jewelry Care

Doing these few things will help keep your jewelry looking good and I’m not talking about pieces that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars – gold, silver plate, sterling silver, etc.  Your everyday jewelry will benefit and will look new longer if you implement these few suggested care tips. 

Don’t get it wet…...moisture is not a friend.  Remove before washing your hands, don’t wear when showering, swimming or sweating.  Complete your skincare routine before wearing.

At the end of the day, wipe it down with any microfiber or lint free cloth.

Store pieces to keep them protected from air and getting lost or damaged.

Anti-tarnish strips are great.  You can keep them inside your bags and boxes and they aid in tarnish prevention. 

Different metals require different cleaners so use specific cleaners made for silver, gold, and costume jewelry.
